Calling all young musicians of Bass Coast and South Gippsland - it's your time to shine!

GRCS Music School and YES Youth Hub present the inaugural BREAKTHROUGH Youth Music Festival - a free, community-focused music festival created to celebrate and showcase the incredible young musical talent of the Bass Coast and South Gippsland!

Held at YES Youth Hub in Wonthaggi on Saturday 20th September from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, BREAKTHROUGH Youth Music Festival will bring together young musicians from across the region for an afternoon of live music, creativity, and community.

Whether you're a solo artist, part of a band, or have only recently started performing, this event is open to all ages and all experience levels. Our goal is simple: to provide a supportive, professional platform where young people can share their music and connect with other musicians. This is a 100% not-for-profit event, proudly hosted by GRCS Music School and YES Youth Hub. All proceeds from the event will go directly toward paying our performers. Food and refreshments will be available on the day, provided by the young people of Bass Coast and South Gippsland.

Want to perform?

To help us plan the event, all performers are required to complete an audition form.

The audition process is designed simply to help us understand who is applying and ensure all performers are ready for a public performance. It is not a competition, and musicians of all experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Performers will be paid for their time and contribution, with all proceeds from the event going directly toward supporting performer payments.
