We’re a music school based in Dalyston with over 250 enrolments across seven locations - from Phillip Island to Inverloch! We help you achieve your musical goals - whether that’s learning something new, joining a band, completing an exam, or just for fun, we have a teacher for you! We provide a community, with concerts and other events designed to foster a sense of belonging (alongside valuable performance skills!). We craft a well-rounded musical education rooted in enjoyment, and are committed to providing a learning environment that fits EVERY student!

Esta Christensen
Voice and Guitar
Esta is a guitarist and vocalist, who began teaching at GRCS Music School in 2023. She specialises in contemporary performance, and has passion for all different genres of music, with a special soft spot for folk, rock and funk music. Currently studying a Bachelor of Music at Monash University, Esta is spending time performing in Melbourne's local music scene, performing, working and immersing herself in the music industry. Esta comes into lessons with an open-minded approach, ready to find the best strategies for each individual student.

Harvey Green
Piano
Harvey is an 18 year old pianist who has been playing for 10 years, completing AMEB piano grade 6 in 2023. Harvey has a love for many different genres of music, with has a special interest in film and game soundtracks. Harvey has a strong belief that anyone can learn to play piano, and it just takes the dedication that comes with loving the instrument.

TEACHERS

Nick White
Classical, Acoustic and Bass Guitar
Nick is a guitarist and music lover of all kinds from Phillip Island. Music has always been an important part of his life, beginning classical guitar lessons at three years old and learning through the Suzuki method. He has been teaching at GRCS Music School since 2022. Although classical guitar is his passion, he also loves playing acoustic, rhythm, electric and bass guitars, as well as saxophone too! Nick has experience playing a wide variety of styles as a solo musician, as well as in ensembles, bands and orchestras, leaving him a versatile and well-rounded musician. He has also participated in workshops with some of Australia’s best classical guitarists, such as Ken Murray and Slava Grigroyan. Nick aims to share his musical experience and help students discover the enjoyment and wellbeing that comes from learning an instrument.

Pania Pickford
Piano
Pania has been playing piano for over 20 years and teaching and accompanying for 15 years. She believes music is for everyone and enjoys helping students young and old play the music they love. Pania is passionate about providing student-centred music education that inspires long-term commitment and a love for music. Her approach includes making connections between the students' interests, taste in music, goals, and learning style and the skills they need to become well-rounded musicians. These skills include sight reading, performance, theory, technique, improvising, composing, and ear training. Whether you are working towards AMEB exams or just want to learn the songs you love, Pania can help you achieve your goals!

Pearl Hunter
Voice
Pearl Hunter is a Gippsland- and Melbourne-based actor and musical theatre performer with a passion for storytelling on both stage and screen. She has pursued her craft with dedication, developing a strong presence in theatre and film. Pearl is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School’s Theatre Arts Program and holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Federation University’s Arts Academy. Her stage credits include Nadiya in Zoe Becomes a Comet and The Witch in Into the Woods. In 2023, she toured regional Victoria as Marley in Perform! Education’s Way Too Cool!. Her screen credits include Ricky Stanicky, Netflix’s Apple Cider Vinegar, and the Australian Unity campaign Worth It. Pearl is thrilled to be teaching voice at GRCS and looks forward to sharing her passion for singing and performance with others.

Kaelan Hercus
Guitar and Drums
Kaelan is a 28-year-old lead guitarist and blues frontman who lives and breathes music. His musical journey began at just six years old, when he started learning Flamenco guitar from his father, a university graduate with a bachelor's degree in musical theory. This strong foundation sparked a lifelong love for music, leading Kaelan to explore and master styles like heavy metal, rock, and blues soloing. From shredding metalheads to acoustic-loving Swiftys, Kaelan with over 10 years of teaching experience has a unique ability to connect with students and help them unlock their potential. Whether the goal is to perform, enter university programs, or simply enjoy playing music, Kaelan's mission is to help his students discover and nurture their passion.

Shontelle O'Connor
Voice and Piano
Shontelle is a 22 year old from Wonthaggi. She specialises in voice and piano. Shontelle has completed her Certificate of Music and her AMusA Diploma in Musical Theatre. Shontelle has a background in Musical Theatre and enjoys taking part in local theatre productions as well as performing in previous school productions at Newhaven College. Shontelle has undertaken singing lessons since the age of 4 and first gained an interest in piano at the age of 5 when her Nana would teach her. Shontelle thoroughly enjoys teaching music and loves when students are able to accomplish goals and share a love for music.

Tom Green
Studio Director
Advanced/Senior Voice
Tom Green is a professional vocalist, performer, and educator, and the founder of Green Room Concept Studios (GRCS). With a career spanning musical theatre, concert, and corporate performance, Tom brings his expertise, passion, and real-world experience into every lesson.
Tom’s love of music began young, with a guitar in hand and a song always on his lips. He completed his Bachelor of Music in Classical Crossover Performance at Monash University, graduating top of his cohort and specialisation, and has performed nationally with The Ten Tenors on their Highway Men Australian Tour.
He has also originated roles in Electric Dreams: The Musical (Miles) and Castro’s Children (Father Brian Walsh) with Music Theatre Melbourne, and performed leading roles in Les Misérables (Jean Valjean), The Phantom of the Opera (Raoul), Wicked (Boq), and Jesus Christ Superstar (Jesus). He has performed at events such as the World Superbikes Grand Final, Hisense Arena, The Hayes Theatre, and live on The Project (Channel 10).
As an educator, Tom teaches voice at Scotch College Melbourne and leads GRCS, providing tuition, ensemble programs, and performance opportunities for students of all ages. His teaching philosophy blends technical skill, creativity, and confidence-building, helping students discover their own unique voice and turn their musical dreams into reality.
